Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer – CMS & eCommerce to develop, customize and maintain websites and eCommerce solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with PHP, WordPress, WooCommerce and related web technologies, along with a good understanding of website performance, security and responsive development.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
Diploma or equivalent qualification with relevant practical experience may also be considered.
Relevant certifications in PHP, WordPress or web development will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in PHP/web development.
- Strong practical experience with WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Experience developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, payment gateways and third-party services.
- Experience working on eCommerce websites and online stores.
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing existing websites.
- Experience with Git/version control will be preferred.
- Experience working in a digital agency or handling multiple client projects will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize and maintain PHP-based websites and web applications.
- Develop and customize WordPress websites, themes and plugins.
- Work extensively with WooCommerce for eCommerce website development and customization.
- Develop custom functionalities based on client requirements.
- Integrate APIs, payment gateways and third-party services.
- Customize and extend existing plugins and themes.
- Work with databases such as MySQL for data management and optimization.
- Troubleshoot website issues and resolve technical bugs.
- Optimize websites for performance, security and scalability.
- Ensure websites are responsive and work effectively across different browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, SEO specialists, content teams and project managers.
- Convert design files such as Figma/PSD into functional web pages.
- Perform website updates, maintenance and technical improvements.
- Follow coding standards, version control and development best practices.
